Boys & Girls Club of St. Joseph County announces the emergency challenge grant of $200,000 from the Family & Children’s Center Foundation.
From Jacqueline Kronk, Chief Executive Officer, Boys & Girls Club of St. Joseph County
As I’m sure you anticipated, we are no longer able to host our Greatest Kids event this year. This comes as a huge disappointment to many- especially our six Youth of the Year candidates who look forward to this event so very much. This event was budgeted to bring in nearly 25% of our budget ($480,000) and gives us much needed funds to fulfill our mission. This situation is unprecedented and daunting to say the least, but we have served children in our community for over forty years and we don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
Help us meet the challenge! Wondering how to help the most vulnerable children and families in our community right now? Join me in supporting Boys & Girls Clubs as they provide immediate needs such as food, diapers, and childcare. Thanks to the Family & Children’s Center Foundation who donated $200,000 for an emergency challenge grant, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar.
