Casaday Costume Company staff members delivered 225 hand-sewn masks on Monday to more than 200 Karl King Apartment Tower residents in South Bend.

The masks, made with scrap fabric from the costume collection, will be produced on an ongoing basis and given to elderly apartment residents and others in need of protective gear during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We are extremely grateful to the medical personnel on the frontlines who are fighting the coronavirus pandemic, and we are honored to do our part to provide protective masks that our community desperately needs,” said Greta Fisher, Casaday Costume Shop Manager.

The company is a nonprofit costume rental business, housed at LaSalle Academy.
